Why iPSM
Published price. Your program. You pick the specialists.
Ammonia PSM software has been sold for thirty years through unpublished pricing, certified resellers, and services bundled into the same relationship.
iPSM separates the subscription from the shop. Your facility runs the daily program. Your consultant can work from the same records. PHA, IIAR-6 inspections, relief valve work, and other scoped jobs go to whoever you hire—including Network members at preferred rates for iPSM facilities.
Side by side: the model most facilities inherit, and how iPSM is built.
How the old model works
What iPSM does instead
How the old model works — and what iPSM does instead
Old model
The price is a conversation, not a number
No published rate card. You cannot budget for compliance software until a reseller or demo is in the room. Two similar facilities often pay different license fees depending on who is selling.
iPSM
The facility license is published
$10,800 per facility per year on the pricing page, before any call. The subscription price is fixed. Specialist work is quoted separately.
Old model
A software badge stands in for PSM competence
Resellers complete a paid vendor certification course, then sell that badge to plant managers as proof that work in the platform will be “high quality.” The course covers their software, not your process. One certified login at a firm can authorize an entire office to work in live programs.
iPSM
Proven PSM work—not a vendor badge
Implementation ingests your binders, P&IDs, and existing records. Training happens on that program—not a blank demo site. Workflow guides stay in the product. When specialist work needs an outside firm, the Network connects you to companies selected on ammonia PSM track record, not a software vendor’s paid certification course.
Old model
The license and the labor ship together
Some platforms sell only through certified partners. Others sell software while the same company sells PHA, audit, MI, and engineering—under one brand or two. Switching tools means switching firms. The license renewal and the services contract share a desk.
iPSM
Software is not the hours
iPSM does not consult. The license is the license. You choose who performs PHA, mechanical integrity inspections, relief valve replacements, and other specialist work. Network members quote scoped jobs at preferred rates for iPSM facilities; terms vary by member. You are not assigned a shop.
Old model
The seller bills the service
When the platform vendor and the program consultant are the same business, the product roadmap follows the retainer. Dependence is revenue.
iPSM
We sell capability, not dependence
We do not bill consulting hours. If your team cannot run day-to-day PSM work in iPSM, the product failed—not an opening to sell more services.
Old model
Deliverables wait in a queue
Quotes often promise thirty days. Reports routinely slip toward sixty or beyond because the work sits in a services backlog—not because the underlying task requires months.
iPSM
Your team advances the daily program
SOP drafts, IIAR-6 from walk-downs, action items, the evidence binder—work in iPSM moves when your people move it. When your consultant works in the same system, turnaround can drop 50% or more.
Old model
Fourteen elements—fourteen manual updates
Legacy systems store every PSM element in one place. Change a compressor tag or operating limit and you still re-enter it across SOPs, mechanical integrity, PHA, and training—or the gap surfaces when the auditor arrives. Drafts and revisions are hard to trace back to who approved what.
iPSM
One connected record
Equipment entered once carries tags, specs, and limits into SOPs, IIAR-6 rounds, mechanical integrity, and PHA scope. Change it once; downstream workflows pick it up. AI-assisted drafts are watermarked until a qualified person reviews and signs, with a full audit trail.
